Welcome to the International Women's and Children's Health and Gender Group (InWomen).
Our Mission statement:
The International Women’s and Children’s Health and Gender group is a multidisciplinary forum that addresses all aspects of the consequences of substance use. The forum members will:
(1) Share findings about the consequences of substance use, abuse and risk behaviors, and the benefits of prevention, intervention and treatment,
(2) Maintain sensitivity to family, culture and equity within an international context,
(3) Forge future collaborations and research agendas, and
(4) Identify additional activities to promote successful and empowering research with these vulnerable populations across the lifespan.

Members of the General InWomen Working Group are welcome to join any of the three subcommittees formed to plan the next 2011 satellite conference. The 2011 meeting will be held on Friday afternoon, June 16, 2011, just prior to the 2011 NIDA International Forum and 2011 CPDD meeting at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1402).
